Brazil Misson Trip Report

With my team from Global Awakening Ministry

With my Brazilian translators

Minister Physical Healing:

During the 2 weeks, I was able to minister to over 60 people in Brazil. God healed many diseases and sicknesses including tinnitus (tingling in the ear), myopia (nearsighted in the eye), photophobia (sensitivity to light in the eyes), anosmia (lack of smell in the nose), gastroesophageal reflux, abnormal uterine bleeding, irregular heartbeat, chest pain, back pain, and ankle pain.

God gave me an opportunity to pray for conditions that doctors had no cure for. One of the first ladies wanted prayer for her eyes. She had very limited vision and could only see the shadows of people. While her vision allowed her to avoid bumping into people and objects, she could not see details. As I laid hands on her eyes, her vision began to improve and at the end, she could see people’s faces, their eyes, nose, and mouth! She was filled with so much gratitude to the Lord. Glory to Jesus!

Secondly, one of the nights, the Lord had me share with the church that God wants to heal noses. One of the teenage girls came up to me and said your word is for me. She explained that she had lost her sense of smell for the past 5 years and the doctor said there is no cure. She chose to believe God can do the impossible and came to me for prayer. After ministering to her, she regained 100% of her sense of smell and tested her nose by smelling food. Glory to Jesus!

Minister via Technology:

Three times, the person in the healing line asked me to pray for someone who was not physically present, so I would minister in real time over the phone with the help of my awesome translators. A mother came to me to pray for her 4 year old son who the doctor diagnosed with autism and has not spoken. As we started praying, the compassion of the Lord came upon me and the mother and within 1-2 minutes the boy started speaking - mummy and daddy. Glory to Jesus!

Just like Jesus healed the centurion’s servant by speaking the word, Jesus was able to heal this boy with the spoken word. It was not necessary to go physically to the home (Luke 7:1-10). If your family and friends live far away, you can minister to them via a phone call or voice message. The power of God goes through time and space.

Minister Emotional Healing:

God gave me opportunities to pray for emotional healing for broken relationships. Before coming on the trip, I was not very comfortable and confident in praying for emotional healing, but the Lord continued to bring those people to my line. I will be honest that there were times I told the Lord, “I do not know what to do. Show me how to love this person.” Several times, the Holy Spirit led me to minister God’s love through a long hug. These moments felt like it was coming full circle. There are several moments in my life when the Lord healed my heart through a hug from a coworker, aunt or sister at church. It was such an honor to be able to minister His love in the same way God has healed me.

Empower the church of Brazil:

As much as I love to minister, it brings me great joy to empower the saints in the church. While my translators often focus on translating my prayers in English and Portuguese, I also gave them opportunities to lead the prayer. I remind them the Holy Spirit lives in me is the same one that lives inside of them. Jesus meant what He said in Mark 16 - “these signs shall follow those who believe - in my name, they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover.” Whether you are a believer in America or Brazil, God heals the sick through the laying on of hands.

One of my translators, Isabelly, sent this message. “Hi Jasmine, I took a moment to thank Jesus because this was the first time that I prayed for healing and the woman with the problem in her knees was healed. Thank you for letting me experience this with me (I’m not exaggerating really, I’m being the most true I can be) that was a day that changed my ministry and my life with Jesus.” As much as God was increasing my faith, He also increased the faith of the Brazilians.

Empower the church in the Bay Area: God wants to equip the saints, His sons and daughters. It does not matter what denomination or how long they have been going to church. On Saturday, I went to visit a friend that attends a traditional Chinese church and asked if she wanted to receive the gift of healing and she was excited. Right after the impartation, she laid hands on her husband whose arm had fallen out of the rotator cup. Her husband was able to raise his hand 80% more than before and his muscles began to go from tight to loosening.

What the Lord is teaching me:

Faith & Patience: During the trip, God showed me the truth of Hebrews 6:12: It is through faith and patience we inherit the promises of God. When I laid hands on people, they often received partial healing 30%, 60%, and 100%, but we would keep standing in faith and thanking God for what He was doing. When we do not see the full manifestation of healing, we are to not give up, but to continue seeking His face.

Faith & Love: One of my teammates shared that when he was not having progress in ministering healing, he would release the love of God from his eyes to their eyes, and it would break through any barrier. The Lord reminded me of 1 John 4:18: perfect love casts out all fear. Secondly, I was praying for one of my teammates and I was not making much progress, but my team leader ministered and the person was immediately healed. I asked my team leader that I did not understand how he was able to minister healing so quickly and he mentioned that he loved this person. The Lord reminded me of Galatians 5:6 “For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love.” As the Lord has been growing me in faith, I realize that I want to continue growing deeper in His love.

Intimacy with God: I thank God for making a way for me to go to Brazil. Jesus touched my heart during my time there and He continued to invite me to go deeper with Him. I was reminded that the most precious gift I have received and can ever receive is an intimate friendship with Jesus. While I still thirst and hunger for spiritual gifts, the one thing I ask is to behold Him and be in His presence. (Psalm 27:4)
